Thunderbird no longer being activity developed

he Mozilla Foundation has decided to cease development of its Thunderbird email client and leave future improvements to the open-source community. Starting that "on-going stability is the most important thing, and that continued innovation in Thunderbird is not a priority for Mozilla's product effects", foundation chair Mitchell Baker also announced that parts of the Thunderbird team will move on to other projects, and the main focus would shift to security and stability updates only.
